Mission Health will leverage Trellis Rx’s innovative specialty pharmacy care to introduce in-clinic services, provided by patient liaisons and clinical pharmacists, throughout Western North Carolina.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (October 31, 2017) – Mission Health, western North Carolina’s healthcare leader and safety-net institution, and Trellis Rx, the premier specialty pharmacy solution for healthcare systems, announced today that they have signed an agreement to co-create a specialty pharmacy, designed with an unprecedented focus on patient engagement, education and experience. Trellis Rx is collaborating with Mission Health to offer this innovative specialty pharmacy model to patients and providers throughout the broader western North Carolina community. The program will begin with the health system’s Asheville-based Mission Hospital but aims to be available to providers beyond Mission over time. As a regionally-integrated health system, Mission Health is dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the people of western North Carolina. Adding this “patient-first” concierge-level pharmacy care will help them achieve that goal for its most vulnerable patients.
