New imaging technology available to Blue Ridge Regional Hospital patients

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (May 18, 2016) – Blue Ridge Regional Hospital is excited to announce the addition of a 64-slice GE Optima 660 CT Scanner to their Imaging Services Department. This new state-of-the-art technology delivers better diagnostic imaging with the potential for a lower dose of radiation, which is particularly important in pediatric patients.

In addition to lower doses of radiation, the 64-slice GE Optima 660 CT Scanner offers:

  • Comfort for patients of all ages and virtually all sizes
  • Faster processing of images than possible with previous scanners
  • A broad range of scans such as cardiac, angiography, brain, chest, abdomen, orthopedic and more

“We are pleased to be able to make this investment in upgrading our CT scanning capabilities and in offering an even higher level of service to our patients. This is just one way we are ensuring that the best possible care is provided for members of our community for years to come,” said Rebecca Carter, MSN, RN, FACHE, President of Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.
